Life of the People of Wall Street
Staring at your phone endlessly waiting for the seamless delivery worker to call.
Realizing it's happy hour, but then looking at the amount of work you have...your happy hour is at 2 am not 5 pm.
That awesome feeling when catching the subway as soon as you reach the platform.
Wearing a suit everyday, then c
oming home and changing into sweats. I'm free at last.
Saying you work on Wall Street and people thinking it is still the 1960's.
Popping people's bubble by admitting it is not like "The Wolf of Wall Street"
Going to bars with co-workers and acting like you own the place.
Having your brokerage account frozen because of the mergers and insider info you deal with.
Getting out of work at 10 pm and thinking "Wow, it's so early."
Going out on a work night thinking you deserve it. Waking up at 5 am thinking you deserve...being hungover.
Getting a text or call on your second phone to come into work late at night.
Realizing you ate 12 hours ago.
Spending money on things you never thought you would want or need. No I need everything now.
Cashing in a bonus. Yes.
Packing gym clothes to go workout in middle of the day, to come back to work the next hour.
Getting off topic in conference rooms, this is business, right?
Sweating on the trade floor, sweating waiting for midterm reports, sweating when your boss speaks.
Going out and getting wild with the interns.
Dreaming about how sweet retirement will be.
Going on business trips and having a large budget to spend. "I'll have the lobster and fillet mignon sushi please."
